NTT DATA EMEAL Foundation, together with each NTT DATA EMEAL Ltd. Operational Company listed in the table below (the “OpCo”) operating in the respective country are joint controllers of the personal data for the purpose of the accessing any of the Websites, with NTT DATA Foundation being appointed as Prime Controller for You to exercise any rights and make any requests under this Privacy Notice.

The personal data that we process are obtained from information you provide us as user (“User”) by completing forms on the Website or sending your queries or requests for contact or information, or by installing cookies.

3.- What purposes do we process your personal data for?
Your personal data are processed to:
- Enable your participation in events and awards.
- Manage the application, legal basis, awards’ ceremonies, in accordance with each event/award legal bases and privacy policy.
- Manage queries and requests received, such as requests for contact or information.
- Manage the sending of commercial communication or newsletters through any channel, including electronic media (such as email and web notifications) about latest news, courses, activities, own and third-party events, products, services, offers, and promotions relating to activities developed by NTT DATA EMEAL Foundation and/or NTT DATA Group.
- Connecting winners and the best evaluated finalist projects of the eAwards platform with the NTT DATA EMEAL executive team for networking purposes. This includes filtering personal data by sector to facilitate connections and create relationships between parties. Please note that while we facilitate the initial connection, we will not be responsible for any intermediation or meetings between parties.
If you contact NTT DATA EMEAL Foundation through our social media profiles or social media connectors, we also inform you of the possible processing of Users’ data through the corporate profiles of the NTT DATA EMEAL Foundation in those social media, for the purposes permitted on each social media site, and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the applicable privacy policies of the corresponding social media, including analytic purposes.
4.- What is the legal basis for processing your data?
The legal basis for the processing of your data is the legal relationship established on the basis of participation in events and/or awards and the management of calls and/or awarding of awards, and where applicable, your free, valid and explicit consent provided for each of the purposes expressed (Article 6 (1) a) of GDPR).
Remember that you can revoke your consent at any time. You may also object to continue receiving commercial communications in the manner indicated in the footer of each communication.
5.- How long will we keep your data?
Your personal data are preserved for the period necessary for the purpose for which they were collected, and specifically:
- In relation to processing queries, managing reports, participation in events and awards and the application, legal basis, and awards ceremonies the data will be retained for as long as necessary to deal with such purposes.
- In relation to the attention of queries and/or requests, data will be kept for as long as it is necessary to attend to the query and/or manage the request.
- In relation to sending communications, data will be processed until the interested party request their erasure.
Personal data will be kept for as long as you do not revoke your consent, but in no event longer than 36 months from the date of eAwards 2024, whichever occurs earlier. Once the revocation has been exercised, it will not be retroactive unless otherwise required by law, your data may be kept blocked for the periods of limitation established by the applicable regulations. If the revocation has been exercised, we will try to, to the extent possible, apply technical measures to delete the Personal Data.
Please be aware that once the Personal Data are posted through third parties it may be technically impossible to delete retrospectively.
6.- To which recipients will your data be disclosed?
The personal data provided may be communicated to NTT DATA Group companies and related foundations, some of which are located outside the European Economic Area, with administrative purposes or with the purpose of sending electronic communications, in the event you provided the corresponding consent.
Your personal data may also be communicated to third parties involved in the organization of the awards and events, as indicated in the privacy policy of each award and/or event, available in the respective registration forms and in the terms of participation and/or conditions of attendance.
We also inform you that your data may be communicated to Data Processors (such as technology providers) some of whom have data processing and/or support centers located outside the European Economic Area.
We guarantee that when your data may leave the European Economic Area, the same protection level shall be maintained based on compliance with the provisions of European data protection regulation. In this regard, international transfers of data shall be carried out (i) to countries with an adequate level of protection declared by the European Commission; (ii) based on the provision of adequate guarantees such as standard contractual clauses or biding corporate standards; or (iii) by virtue of the authorization of the competent authority or control body or under other conditions provided for in the regulation.

We are committed to keeping your personal data secure, taking all reasonable measures to do so. We demand and legally bind our service providers who may handle your personal data to do the same.
